More Estate Salels Coming Soon!
Hey Folks!
I am currently working on two estate sale houses. The first will be ready for a sale on June 27th. It is located in Pineville. There is a good bit of retro furniture and some great kitchen appliances as well as bedding, LP’s, clocks, old lamps, and lots more. I’ll send a more detailed email soon.
The second sale is in the country about 13 miles from the traffic circle on Hwy 1 South. It’s a very old house with some really cool stuff in it. Furniture, glassware, kitchen stuff, old tools and horse stuff, and tons more that I haven’t even gotten to. More info to follow as that sale gets closer as well.
As always, thank you for your continued support, referrals, and encouragement throughout these past 17 years of Ebenezer Sales business history! You are the greatest!

Another Ebenezer Sale
Hey Everyone!
Please don’t miss the first Ebenezer Sale of 2009! It is a good one with lots to offer everyone. I’m happy for cool weather and if it rains just come on anyway because the sale is all inside and you can shop out of the weather!
The location of the sale is 314-A Windermere. It is one of the condo/patio homes located on a short little dead end street directly across from the sign for Kingsley Place. I did a sale on this little street about 3 years ago. Anyway, you will need to park carefully on Windermere or in the Kingsley Place parking lot as NO PARKING will be allowed on the little alley/ street where the home entry is. Entry will be through the garage.
I will be having a preview from 6:00-7:00 PM only on Friday night. As usual, no sales on Friday.
This gentleman’s home has great furniture, art, kitchen, appliances, clothing, bedding, holiday, golf, gadgets and gardening. There are a few tools (not many) and no jewelry to speak of as his wife passed away several years ago.
This is a good sale to start the year and I hope to see all of you there! Remember, shopping estate sales is a great way to recycle and make the best use of our scarce dollars these days. Encourage your friends to come shop and help me find loving homes for all these terrific items!
First estate Sale of 2009!
I can’t believe 2009 marks my 17th. year in the estate sale business! The Lord has been so good to me and blessed me with lots of friends both as clients and customers. My prayer is that this year brings glory to His name in my estate sales and in my personal life. I also pray for each of you and that you would experience God in a new way this year.
Our first estate sale is scheduled for Saturday March 14. The sale is on Winderemere; I will give the exact address on Thursday March 12.
Included in the sale you will find:
collection of “road runner” bird items
golf clubs (older ones), bags, club tags, head socks, tees, balls, etc.
framed art (classics and more)
glassware
good books (many with jackets)
pottery
furniture (dining set, dinnette, shelving, media/computer storage, bedrooms, living room and more)
patio furniture, planters, stands, fountain, statuaries and more
utility storage
appliances
glass, brass, iron, decor
nice bed linens
men’s clothing and shoes
sorry, no jewelry
NO JUNK!!!!!
This was a 30 year Air Force retiree (very little militaria to sell however) who spent a few years in Spain in the late 1960’s and had their dining set made there. That tour in Spain influenced much of their interior taste. Very nice! The wife passed away several years ago so much of her things are already gone. The gentleman passed away late in 2008 so much of what is left was his.
I know you will enjoy this sale to mark your calendars and I look forward to seeing you there March 14.
Stay tuned as I uncover burried treasure for you!

Welcome to 2009!
Hello Everyone!
Here we are in a brand new year! My resolution is to post more blogs on this site and make this a fun and interesting place to visit! I’ll begin this year (even though it’s late in January) with filling you in on new sale plans. Currently I don’t have any sales in the works. I know I told most of you there would be a sale in January however, that hasn’t worked out. I have 3 contracts out to folks for consideration however, they said it would be awhile before they were ready for a sale anyway.
I do know that this business is unpredicatable; I never know when someone will call and need a sale done right away so keep checking back here for updates!
I’ll be filling the time with some Ebay sales (seller ID 1sam712, check out what’s on!) and projects at home. As some of you know I manage a storage facility in Woodworth, part time and there are some projects that have needed my attention out there as well.
I would like to share some tips and ofher topics of discussion each month and I hope you all will participate!
Here’s the first try:
Stain Removal Tip!
To remove those “rusty” looking stains on old linens and old cotton tatting and crochet:
Fill your large gumbo or soup pot 3/4 full of clean water and add 1/2 box of baking soda. Bring the water to a boil and add enough linens to soak up the water and have room to roll with the boil. Bring to boil and stir occaisionally. T
he water will begin to look “rusty” and it will smell. It’s not a foul smell but you will want to do this on a day no one is home because they will rebel!
When the water is dark rust in color (but clear) dump the water and rinse the linens in cool water. Repeat this process as many times as it takes to lift the stain.
I have used this process on many pieces without incident; even with delicate items. It really works; it just takes time.
If others of you have stain removal secrets for those textiles we want to keep but are afraid to put in our washer, please share with us!
I’d also like to know what you all would think about a place opening up that would be like a new estate sale every month only located in the same place. No leftovers or holdovers, one day only, markdowns around noon and box for a buck around 3pm. What do you think?
Please respond so we can brainstorm about this idea!
Til next time…
Uncovering buried treasure for you,
Debi Upshaw
